“The WOW factor”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2009

My husband and I stayed last week for 2 nights. We were originally planning to stay one night but once we saw the grounds and rooms, we looked at each other and said let's change our plans. All the other comments about the architecture, views and food are correct. It will exceed your expectations. We Americans seem to push too hard to cram as much as we can into the day. Have a bottle of wine on the manicured lawn, watch the service person dogs play, and inhale the clean fresh air. It is magical there. The very best place we stayed on our trip and can't wait to go back. Also try the Oasis restaurant in town. Quality food and service - the kind we expect back home. Don't miss this gem.

“DON'T MISS CASHEL and DON'T MISS 'HILL HOUSE'”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2009

Hill House was truly one of the highlights of our visit to Cashel. Our beautifully appointed room in this charming historic home overlooked the rock. Everything -even the Rock - was within an easy walk. Breakfast was a delight and our hostess Carmel could not have been more helpful. We were sad to leave.

“Wonderful place, great view”

We stayed 1 night at Hill House in Cashel and wished we could have stayed longer. Carmel was such a great host, telling us places to eat and information about the town and just making us feel welcome. Breakfast was great, the fruit pancakes (recommended on TA) were wonderful!
The view to Rock of Cashel was wonderful especially at night when it is lit up. Our room was large with a four poster bed and a view to the Rock of Cashel. The shower was the best one we had in Ireland, great water pressure and lots of hot water! The free Wi-Fi was a huge plus!
The location is within walking distance to town but it is a good uphill walk back to Hill House. We enjoyed out stay very much!

Georgian House with spectacular view of Cashel Cathederal located on Cashel Rock. Town center within walking distance, no parking woes.

Elegant sitting room with a timber and peat fire in the evening. Reliable internet connection for music and mail. Customized breakfast.

This is the location to stay for several days and enjoy.

“Luck of the Irish brought us to Hill House”

A spur of the moment decision brought us to Cashel. A quick stop at the Visitor Center resulted in us taking a walk "up the hill to the level of the Rock" to have a look at Hill House. After just a few minutes of chatting with the lovely hostess Carmel we knew we had found a jewel on the hill.
Carmel shared with us the history of the house. How she and her family refurbished this incredible house "one room at a time" to its present exquisite condition. Each room was impeccably decorated and immaculate. The spacious gardens were finely manicured and the breakfast was wonderful. The icing on the cake was the breathtaking view of the Rock of Cashel from our upstairs bedroom windows.
Carmel made us feel welcomed and much appreciated our business.
Hope to return again someday. The area was quaint and full of incredible history.
