“Children Not Allowed”

We were refused service in their Cellar Bar by the owner on the grounds that our party of five adults and four children would not allow him to make money. The restaurant was a quarter full on a Sunday evening at the time. I found the owner to be the most ignorant owner I have met. I'm sure the food is lovely but from an ignorance stand point the owner of Baileys Hotel stand head and shoulders above all else I have met.
Spend your money in the Cashel Palace is my advice. Excellent food and a proper Irish welcome.

“A Step Back In Time but Still Very Modern”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

We decided take a drive to the Southwest of Dublin and stop at Cashel. We had no idea what the facilities were like there so we looked up hotels on the net. It's hard to tell from pictures what you're going to be getting into. Needless to say we were very surprised. Bailey's Hotel Cashel is absolutely beautiful. The amenities were very modern, the beds were comfortable, the food was delicious and the people very friendly!! It was hard to believe that it was a 17th Century home at one time. We enjoyed it so much we decided to stay an extra night and would definitely stay there again.

“first time I,ve ever rated excellent, hotel and staff led to a great day out.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

first impression of baileys was how friendly and accommodating all the staff were at this quite busy hotel, (it was a Saturday) lunchtime food a snack was delicious, atmosphere in the bar area was comfortable, the decor of the hotel had the hand of a clever designer, being comfortable without being pretentious. We had an evening meal that was excellent, the breakfast was one of the best I've had,
the room was comfortable, clean and well decorated.bathroom smallish but well up to standard. price-wise was fair value for money.
Cashel is a small well kept town, clean and friendly, does have some visitor attractions. the castle being the main one, the town also has an amazing small theater called the brian buru center, the design of this modern building is exquisite, must be seen from inside to see how clever the architect was. few shops in the town, access to the town is simple, its just of the motorway.
All in all a good place to stop for a night, if touring would be a good base for the area.

“AVOID THE RESTAURANT”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011

My friend and I decided to stop in Cashel for a meal and went to Baileys. The staff were very helpful but the food left alot to be desired. The menu doesn't have any choices for people who cant eat dairy products. All the sauces container cream. So they suggested the pasta with tomato, basil and pamersan shavings and no cream. I ordered it and fount that it lacked any taste of basil and cheese. So I requested extra of these on the side. I was given a green pesto sauce and powerded pamersan! I could n't believe it! €14 for pasta at lunchtime and everything came out of tins! No fresh ingredients. My friend had the rack of lamb which was very disappointing. We wont be going back, its a shame as the ambience was great!
