“Fabulous Meal - great bar.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

Ok, so usually these reviews are for hotel stays but we didn't actually stay here. We attended a dinner and I have to say what a really lovely night we had. Staff on the table service were so professional and pleasant and nothing was was a problem. Likewise the bar staff. We had a great meal, best I've had in a while! The atmosphere in the Bishops Buttery is wonderful and a song in the bar from a great barman topped off the night. We've already booked to go back again.

Thanks for a super night.

“Lovely setting and great staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

I stayed in the Cashel Palace Hotel on the weekend I got engaged. We were driving back from Dublin Airport to Cork and decided to visit the Rock of Cashel. Last minute we decided to stay over - it was a toss up between the palace and another interesting hotel but the place won out!
We had a lovely bedroom on the second floor, great facilities, tv, comfy bed and nice views from the windows. Bear in mind it was deep november, dark and windy to boot but we loved our stay.
There are many of the original features in this lovely hotel and we got a great welcome from the staff.
Chowder was excellent and the breakfast was devine. I really enjoyed my stay in this very historic and lovely hotel and we even got our own private path up the Rock of Cashel that day.
Many thanks to all the staff for making our special day even more special we even got to look in Room 16!!! - Ask the staff what I mean!

Room Tip: there wasnt a fitness centre or swimming pool but had to fill it in for some reason. All rooms loo...

“Lovely Girls Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2011

Myself, my mother and sister just back from a weekend at the Cashel Palace. It was so lovely - beautiful old building, lots of big fires and comfy couches, welcoming staff, great rooms, full of character and a wonderful view onto the Rock of Cashel. We'll definitely be back. I'm sure it's a lot of work keeping an old building like this looking so good, and they do a wonderful job.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at back with view of the Rock of Cashel.

“Bar food terrible”

Ate here today and thought my lunch was awful. Thai fish cakes over done and potatoes cold. I know I should have said it at the time but who likes to complain.
