“Gorgeous Stopover from Dublin to Galway”

My friends had stayed here while at a wedding a number of years back and recommended that we stay here on our visit to Ireland. The lady of the house was very welcoming, we had a large double room that was clean and warm. Breakfast was lovely full Irish, even if we got up after kitchen closing time! After arriving at Dublin airport from the US and driving to Athlone it was wonderful to be offered a nice cup of tea on arrival. The lady recommended Seans bar, Irelands oldest to us and even dropped us into town.

“You can find better”

We stayed here for one night, booking two rooms. Ours was quite big but the my friends' one was very small, with a very small bed.
The shower did not function.
Sheets were thorn.
Cleaning was ok (not exceptional).
The lady that owns the house is a nice person, and the breakfast was nice too. But I think this is not enough to justify a 70 € fee per room...
