“Beautiful setting, really warm welcome”

My husband and I stayed here for one night whilst travelling up the West Coast of Ireland on a little holiday. We found the house easily and were welcomed by Geraldine. She showed us to our room which was sunny and clean and very comfortable. In the evening we walked accross the road to a great place for dinner - The Yeat's Tavern and then strolled along to view the Church and Graveyard where Yeats himself is buried.

Had a very tasty breakfast the next day before checking out. Later that evening I realised that I'd left my Kindle in the bedroom. Geraldine very kindly sent it back to my flat in London for me.

“VERY WELCOMING AND PROFESSIONALLY RUN”

Had my second very enjoyable stay here with my brother last month. Realised just before midnight on Sunday that our alarm was not working and we had an extremely early start for the airport next day, well before breakfast is usually served. Our hosts produced both an alarm clock and our breakfast in record time.-We had not deliberately intended to test their professionalism, but they passed the test with flying colours. Sligo scenery as magnificent as ever- the real Ireland. Drumcliff natives very friendly. We will be back. E Holland

“Beautiful setting, great service”

We were looking for a location central to our travels in Northwest Ireland. This B&B is modern, clean, and wonderfully appointed. The breakfast was excellent. The setting is beautiful with an amazing view of Benbulben. Wonderful, friendly hosts.

“Lackluster service.”

When we arrived at Yeats Lodge, the door was locked. We knocked and knocked and had just turned back to our car to find other lodgings when a teenager finally opened the door and let us in. She took us to three different rooms before she found one that was clean. When we asked her questions about the area (Glencar waterfall, for instance, restaurants, etc.), she had to phone someone for the information. The room that we were finally given was nice enough, but people arrived late in the night and made enough noise to wake us. The following morning, we were served a breakfast that was adequate, but nothing more. We honestly felt as though we were intruding. We won't be back.

I feel I must offer an explanation for the lacklustre service that you appear to have received on your recent trip. I always strive to provide guests with an excellent experience at Yeats Lodge, however unfortunately on this occasion unforseen circumstances arose which affected the quality of your experience. On the day in question I had to take my daughter to the casualty department at the local hospital and my niece offered to receive guests. I was held up for much longer than I had expected to be and you arrived in my absence. My niece did not have a great knowledge of the local area as she normally resides some fifty miles away. I can only apologise and assure you of a much better experience if you decide to visit us again.

Great accomodations..large, comfortable, clean rooms. Fantastic shower. Breakfasts were good, walking area was good..very close to many historic sites like the easy walking distance to Yeat's grave. Geraldine was gracious and helpful about local information. Jim/Dee Wyoming
