“Lovely, just Lovely”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 October 2010

I have to admit this was the best B&B we stayed at during our 17 day trip. Mick and Marie were the best people we met in Ireland. The breakfast were great the rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable and the craic marvelous. I got to feeling under the weather while I was there and Marie called the clinic and got me right in to see the doctor. Mick took us down to the pub every night and picked us up when we were done. The advice on where to eat were spot on and we really enjoyed our stay. You can't go wrong spending a few days with this family, nothing is too much trouble. When I go back to Ireland I'm sure this will be one of our stops. Go see Mick and Marie they treat you like royality. Joe and Sandi

“Fantastic - Best B&B We have ever stayed in !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2010

If you are looking for a place to stay in West Cork (Clonakilty) then the Glendine is the place to stay. The hosts Mari and Mike are two of the nicest people you could ever meet. You are met with open arms and made to feel like part of the family from the second you arrive to the second you leave. Mike gave us a verbal tour of Clonakilty and surrounding areas over Mari's wonderful Rhubard Muffins (fresh from the oven) and made sure we knew where everything was. We were also offered a lift to town at any time and at now extra cost which was absolutely great. During our stay Mike also offered to take me and my wife on a guided motorbike tour on his treasured Honda (Rosebud). My wife took him up on this offer and had the time of her life. Mike stopped and took photos which he then forwarded onto us.

Overall this B&B is simply the best we have ever stayed in. If you are down Clonakilty way and need a place to stay then don't consider anywhere else but the Glendine. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Mari & Mike - Thanks for a wonderful stay
John & Karen

“Best B&B I've ever stayed in”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2010

Stayed here for 2 nights for the Clonakilty festival. We were greeted by Mick with fresh muffins, still warm out of the oven. Rooms were lovely and spotlessly clean. Mari and Mick couldn't have been nicer, even giving us a spin each night to the pub, even though it was only a few minutes walk down the road. Breakfasts were delicious and great for getting over hangovers. Would definitely stay here again.

“Simply wonderful...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2010

If you are fortunate enough to stay at the Glendine, you will know what it is to be genuinely welcomed in to somebody's home and made truly welcome. The outstanding beauty of the surrounding area is matched perfectly by Mick and Mari's charm, humour and spirit. I defy anyone to arrive at the Glendine and not feel instantly relaxed. Now, if I could just get Mari's recipe for Rhubarb Muffins, life would be complete!

“Great accomodation, great food and great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 July 2010

Booked this B & B based on reviews read here on tripadvisor.
From the moment I made the booking, I was very pleased with my choice. Mari was so friendly on the phone. On arrival, Mick and Mari were there to greet us with fabulous coffee and muffins - nice touch. We were going to a wedding in the Dunmore Hotel and Mick drove us over, which he didn't have to do.
I will def return here again. The bed is very comfortable, shower was powerful. There was a great selection for breakfast and both Mick and Mari were so nice to us. They changed our minds about B & Bs.
