My husband and I stayed at the Townhouse at the end of January for one night.
The hotel was really good value and this was the first reason we booked it. The hotel is located at the end of the main street, just a few minutes away from the bus stop. While being in the centre, it is still in a quiet location as there are no pubs in the immediate vicinity.
On arrival, we were greeted very warmly by the staff. My husband was even treated to a lovely cappuccino after arrival.
We stayed in a double room facing the back of the hotel. Noise level 0 at night so that was great. The room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was also squeaky clean; there were free toiletries and massive bath towels (that was really great as lots of hotels tend to have bath towels that are too small).
You could access the upper levels by lift or stairs so this is a plus really for people with heavy luggage or disabilities.
No fancy screen TV in our room but still a TV in perfect working order. In any case there was a great flat screen TV downstairs in the lounge that anyone could use.
The breakfast itself was very good. I really loved that everything was locally sourced (fruit juices, yoghurt, butter, milk, ...). For anything continental, there was a buffet (cereals, bread, scones, yoghurt, juice); service was at the table for anything hot (Irish breakfast of course, French toasts or Pancakes).
Overall a very good stay!
Room Tip: For anyone, sensitive to noise, I guess a room at the back would be best.
