“A top location away from the bustle of central Dublin”

People turn houses into homes.
Anne is the most fabulous of hosts that you could possibly come across. She has been in the B&B business for many years and appreciates the very detail of what makes the difference for her guests.
Rooms at the Howth View are top quality with a great bed and shower. The furnishings in the areas accessible to the guests are just excellent and reflect the commitment to providing service. Cooking is an art form here perfected by Anne. Breakfasts are just what the doctor order with plenty of choices to be had.
There is sufficient parking and free wi-fi is provided to keep in touch with friends and family. The local golf links hotel has very good meals on offer at realistic prices. Although we had a car we travelled into Dublin daily by train from the nearby rail station as trains were frequent and avoided the problems of parking. Alternatively you can take the bus.
We were treated like family and would to go back some take in the future. Thanks for caring.

“Great welcome in a lovely family-run B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2010

Stayed in this lovely B&B which is right across the road from the Portmarnock Links Golf Club. Very convenient links to city centre with bus stop across the road. My wife and I had a lovely time. Anne and John were magnificent hosts. The rooms were spotless and Anne could not do enough for us. Breakfast was lovely with the best home-made bread I have tasted. We will definitely be back.

“Good location and value for money, but less than a warm welcome.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2010

I've rated this as average as although the room, price and location was good I was disappointed with several things. First of all the directions to get to the B&B seemed to be only for those arriving by car. It was 20 minutes walk from the train station which is not on the map on their website so we had no idea which direction to walk. When we arrived (later than expected) we didn't exactly get a warm welcome and was informed that we could only pay for the room in cash. The website does not mention this fact and neither were we told this when we called to book the room - so we had to trek back to the cash point which we had passed on the way. The room was nice and tidy although it did feel like we were staying in someone's house rather than a B&B. Breakfast was good and Anne was helpful in getting the bus timetables etc. However, despite asking whether we could leave our bags there until catching the bus to the airport, and being told it was fine - when checking out we were told this wasn't possible as they were going away that afternoon. So we had to carry our luggage whilst walking on the beach until the wind and rain got the better of us. Not a great ending to our trip to Dublin to celebrate our anniversary.

“Wonderful Host, Immaculate accommodations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2010

We just returned from Dublin, where we had the good fortune to stay in the Howth View accomodations, with our two teenage sons. Anne was the quintessential hostess. She was extremely helpful and made time and money sharing suggestions as we planned our days. The rooms were immaculate and the breakfasts were fabulous. The inn is perfectly located for a day trip to Dublin, a walk to Malahaide or bus to Howth. Thank you Anne for a great introduction to Ireland.

“Always a warm welcome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2010

This is a very nice B&B where you will allways get a warm welcome, a nice place to sleep and a good breakfast. We are traveling so many years now to Portmarnock and always enjoyed the stay. I am sure, we will come back this year.
