The Keanes have a beautiful B&B with several large rooms which suited us well when we stayed in Listowel in August '08. We traveled from the States to attend our grandmother's 90th birthday party and stayed for 9 nights. We had 5 adults and 3 children under the age of 9 and the rooms were perfect for our extended family. I have to say that the Keanes are the nicest people in the world! They were such gracious hosts and really welcomed us into their home. We felt like we were staying with family and we were honestly sad to say goodbye at the end of our trip. Mrs. Keane makes the most delicious irish breakfasts and home made apple bread. Mr. Keane treated us to tea several evenings when we came home from our travels. It was great to have the space to spread out with the kids and the Keanes were so thoughtful and helpful on our trip. We were definitely spoiled. We loved our stay at Whispering Pines and will be sure to call on the The Keanes the next time we're in Ireland!
