Out of the 4 places we stayed at in the past week, this place was our favorite and amazing for many reasons:
-Location: It was so peaceful, especially with the sound of the river. It is very close to both Quebec city and the great hikes in Park Jacques Cartier. There were many good restaurants to choose from in Lake Beaufort area. It was not SUPER close to the park, but if you are looking to get away from a city while trying to visit the park, this place is recommended!)
-Hosts: Despite saying they did not speak very good English, they were very good at it! They had many resources to help up know what was available to do.
-Food: The breakfast was incredible! The hike was deserving after the portions! Fruit, yogurt, meat, cheese, bread, eggs, crepes, what more could you want?!? The extra dinner was also very good- fresh and well prepared.
-Room: The Epicea room had a nice large bed (2 beds pushed together), a great jacuzzi and shower, and was nicely decorated. There is also access to a hammock and lounge chairs right outside the room.
- Only downside: The Wi-Fi and cell signal (Verizon) was not strong/ didn't come in at all due to a low signal, so be prepared to disconnect with the outside world a bit.

We visited Quebec June 2011 with small child (2 years and 8 months) and stayed at this wonderfull chite for 3 nights. The locating is simply superb, within an hour of Quebec City and surrounded by breathtaking nature. Ownders Chrystel and Pierre are super friendly and give you a warm welcome. About the rooms: ours (Cedar room) was great; spacious and equipped with a private bubble bath. The common room is warm and friendly with TV / DVD / Stereo, attached a nice patio with relax chairs (again a stunning view on nature). And on top of all that: an outdoor bubble bath with of course a nice view.

We spent 7 nights in Québec, and unfortunately only one at this B&B. We had an absolutely wonderful time. Chrystel and Pierre were delightful hosts, from a quite rustic nonetheless elegant dinner including 3 courses plus a great Expresso on the huge deck in back, attending their shooting stars night show (well, it was a starry night ;) and the cozy fire they had made for the occasion. The Mélèze room we had was large, impeccably clean and welcoming. Hot water was abundant from a nicely sized shower. Breakfast was more than substantial starting with the best fruit cocktail we’ve been served. And all the time the raucous yet soothing Montmorency River was but a stone-throw away.
