Was there for a few days in the middle of the off season in a down economy, so there were very few people staying at the hotel. It is located on the edge of town at the top of the hill, with an overview all the way to the sea, not that the town of Portrush is much to look at. Access was very easy, with plenty of free parking.
The main restaurant was only open for the Sunday Brunch, which was packed with locals otherwise we ate in the bar or tea room.
The staff was cheerful, and very helpful and friendly.
The rooms are quite large, but very plain. The bathroom was also large with a shower in the tub.
When we got into the room the heat was turned off but it only took a few moments to warm up when we turned up the thermostat on the radiators. Considering how blustery it was outside the room was quite cozy and comfortable.
Food was fine for Northern Ireland and they made a point of that it was all prepared in the hotel kitchen of local ingredients, not prefab. It was served reasonably quickly too. Just don't order a caesar salad - what arrived was carefully prepared but the dressing bore no resemblance to any caesar I have ever had had anywhere. Goo.
If I find myself in that part of Northern Ireland again I will definitely stay here again.
