We had 3 nights B&B. Rooms are small but cosy (smell a bit smoky) -nice and warm-bathroom has a small bath-very nice after skiing-breakfast more than adequate-usual continental (not english -of course)-staff quiet but friendly-5 mins walk into town but 1 minute to free ski bus shuttle to go to Avoriaz or Morzine, which runs very 5 minutes-good ski/boot room with boot warmers. Ski area (porte du soleil amazing but les gets/morzine also more than adequate for a few days-you can ski right into the village of Morzine from the les gets side,-small but cosy bar area-owner made us free coffee while we waited for our early am transfer to geneva. would stay again as reasonable price given location and height of season-lovely views

We chose Hotel le Soly due to the positive reviews on Trip Advisor and other reputable travel sites. We stayed here for a week and had a lovely experience.
The hotel is a few minutes walk from city center, but on a quiet street for restful nights.
The staff was caring, and spoke excellent English.
The rooms were clean; we had a big family suites with two bedroom and bathorooms for us and our two grown-up children.
Food was wonderful and served with a smile. It was just such a wonderful experience!

Feb 16 2008, I stayed for 3 nights with my teenage son at this hotel.We arrived late at nightand the proprietor was helpful and flexible. The location is good , we travelled each day to the Super Morzine lift. , 5 mins, although the ski bus also stopped close going to Avoriaz
We chose the hotel because it was available and appeared good value. The rooms were adequate and all facilities clean and fully functional.
The main pleasant surprise was the quality and variety of food served in the restaurant for the evening meal. I noted that local french families also ate there.
I note upon my return to the UKa that prices remain constant within a simple mid,low and high season categorisation, Particular weeks are not hiked as they appear to be for many of the currently trip advisor ranked hotels.
All in all an excellent value way to facilitate a ski-ing break in what is a fantastic location to ski.

Found the hotel on a Morzine website - described itself as a chalet hotel - a wrong description it is a proper hotel with full facilities - the chalet bit may be because the bedroom had a sloping roof.

The food was excellent, service good, bedroom clean and warm. The ski soom had boot heaters. The ski bus stop was about thirty yards up the road and there was plentiful car parking. The hotel is part of the Logis de France umbrella - almost always an indiciation of excellent food and a pleasant frenchness and proprietorial concern rather than an impersonal resort hotel feel.

The links into the Portes de Soleil ski area are excellent and it is a wonderful huge area - I think Morzine is probably the best location on the circuit.

Very much hope to return.
