“A Gem in St. Andrews”
One of the joys of staying at B&B's is the interaction with guests and owners, and I can state unequivocally, that Steven and Karen are two of the nicest folks you'll ever run into.
We had the pleasure of staying at Bramley Guest House for three nights in early August with our 16 and 14 year old children. In the midst of all the craziness of running a B&B, somehow Steven and Karen found the time to feed us with the world's best omelettes, told some amazing stories about the St. Andrews area, and provided great travel tips, like being sure to attend the Pittenweem Arts Festival. They even helped ship a large photo picture to us that we'd purchase at the festival.
I can truly say that Steven and Karen make their B&B feel warm, comfortable, and a true home with their unparalleled hospitality. We enjoyed a great drink together up at the local pub, and had some great laughs about sports, and golf in particular. In his spare time, Steven does the occasional caddy loop on the Old Course, so he's got a great number of stories. Karen also works at the University of St. Andrews, and she can fill you in on that wonderful institution and the history of the area.
The B&B is only 3km from St. Andrews, and we actually preferred not staying in town as it can be a bit noisy and crowded with tourists. Strathkinness is a short hop from town, and set in some of the loveliest countryside one can find....great farms, and terrific views to the North Sea, and even the distant roof tops of St. Andrews.
Staying at Bramley House comes with our strongest recommendation...you'll love the breakfasts, and you'll sincerely appreciate two of the nicest folks in the world....Steven & Karen....you and your family are welcome in our house in Seattle anytime.
