A quiet B&B about 15 minutes south of Coffs Harbour’s famous big banana. Small and well tended. Surrounded by a beautiful garden.
The good: helpful and attentive owners, who will cook your breakfast to order at your convenience. Nice, large and immaculate units, well equipped with everything you need. The owners feed the local birds. Watching dozens of brightly colored parrots (or whatever they are) converge on the place for the evening feed can be fun. A very quiet location.
The bad: A car is needed to get anywhere due to the isolated location.
The surf: Arrawarra is about thirty minutes north on highway 1. It is one of very few north facing breaks, providing rolling longboard waves even when everything else around is pounded by gnarly, windblown junk.
