This was a very exciting way to see Australian animals in a somewhat natural setting. As a short-stay travelers we could not hike or go to natural sites, yet we were not willing to go to a zoo. This tour provided exactly what we were looking for - seeing/ touching animals without feeling too much as "tourists". Yes, wallabies were eating out of my hand and we saw many other native animals. The tour-guide (I believe Sally?) was very passionate and really loves what she is doing. We did this tour in August, and it was quite chilly and mucky - perhaps not a good idea with young children (at least not in strollers). There are no paved paths and I was lucky to be able to change into rubber boots on site, as it was just after the rain. We self-drove, rather than got a full package tour with bus service. If you have good directions or have GPS, it is not too difficult to find, even at night. Touring the site at night also makes it feel more natural, as you can not really notice fences and boundaries too much and fell more like in a natural setting. This was my highlight of 3 day stay in Melbourne area.
