We stayed here over the Queen's Birthday weekend in June 2010 for one night.
Great location on the beach (well, you have to cross the road to get to the beach, but you can hear the waves from the park easily).
We rented a deluxe cottage with ensuite bath and linen. There was a second room with bunk beds to sleep antoher 4 people, plus a tv, lounge, and kitchen. All in all, not bad for $95. My only complaints were that:
1. There was a very very tiny heater to heat the entire cottage, so it never really got warm.
2. There were hundreds of tiny little trilobite-like insects on the floor and on the carpet. If you hate bugs, then you will not be able to sleep at all.
The campsite itself is clean and fairly well maintained, and there are wild koalas in the actual campgrounds! A few kookaburras, rosellas and king parrots visited the porch and were willing to be handfed, which was a nice touch.
The dirt road behind the campsite goes up into the hills and you can literally spot hundreds of koalas if you drive slowly.
There is a cafeteria not 100 metres from the campsite called Koala Cove, and they serve warm meals, and they stock basic grocery items like eggs, milk, etc.
This is by no means 5 star accommodation, but that's not why you come to stay here. It has a great location, has abundant wildlife, is very close to the beach, and does not break the bank: enough reasons for me to stay here again.
