“Ideal for conferences and trainings in Zürich-Regensdorf”

We've frequented the Best Western Trend Hotel a few times this year for trainings. Each stay was very satisfying, the hotel is perfectly located for conferences/ trainings in the Zürich-Regensdorf area.
The staff is very nice and helpful, the dining menu tasty, the service in the restaurant extremely friendly and the rooms in line with the expectations/ on-line offers.
The standard rooms are averagely furnished, clean and quiet. Nothing special but fully acceptable. The superior/ deluxe rooms are a treat - very spacious and with a nice individual touch. The appartments however do not live up to the otherwise high standards: hey're in a separate building, accessable only through the underground parking and the furnishing is randomly assembled.
All in all still a very good overall rating and a hotel that we can easily recommend.

“Amazing Rooms and service”

We spent only one night in the hotel, but everything was perfect. We arrived very late, tired, and the welcome was warm, they took really care of us. Huge underground parking, convenient if you carry a lot of stuff... Excellent breakfast. Overall we recommend this hotel to everyone.

“Not convenient and inflexible. Smell of restaurant permeates the hotel”

I booked this hotel at a rate of 122 CH/Night thinking it was close to airport and they mention that you can prebook a shuttle to their hotel (no mention of fees). I arrive at the airport and call for the shuttle only to learn it is a 50-60 CHF taxi ride or 40 CHF for the hotel shuttle. That means if you are using it as an airport transit hotel - you might as well double your rate! They would not let me out of the booking. So i took a local train. When trying to book the shuttle back to the airport - I was quoted 42 CHF. So budget 80-120 CHF just to get back and forth to airport terminal. Breakfast was not included. The restaurent stench permeated the hotel. My room was fine. The rest of the common area was overheated and stuffy. I do not recommend this hotel. Stay in other hotels in Kloten area that operate free shuttles.

To stick to the facts:
Guest booked a lastminute non refundable room and cheapest avaiable promotion rate at 17.12 on arrival date (booking.com for 120.-- sfr in a 4star Hotel)

Guest could not be reached by phone to explain that Shuttle (and breakfast ) are not included
in this rate as mentioned on the website of booking.com. If booking Rack rates or other
categories than cheapest we offer transfer service for free or minimum costs

Client did accepted terms and conditions of booking.com and to blame the hotel for not beeing flexible is a guestion of education and to accept not having read what have been booked !

Finally we offered a Limousin private pick up service for 30.-- confirmed by manager but guest did twice not accept. He prefered to take the train.Station 5 minutes walking distance. Front desk clerk apologized not offereing a free bustransfer for this rate (we have a on time transfer system ie client orders transfers with limousine on time) and explained the train schedule in detail

On arrival we offered a welcome drink at his choice in our Lounge or restaurant

We have a Front cooking and a very crowded evening and it happens that there is some smell from the front cooking at the end of the evening due to heavy business.

To make mistakes is one thing but to blame others and to make it public is a guestion of style especially if employees have take care of the expectations guests had.
But the guest did book a price and not a room with his services and

“Ideal for conventions or trainings”

I partecipated to a training in this hotel and it is quite suitable for conventions. I did not see the other parts of the hotel, so it is a limited review somehow. But when it comes to small conventions or trainings, it offers a quite organised structure. Logistic is good, being the hotel at walking distance from the train station of Regensdorf-Watt, 10 minutes far from Zurich main station. What is impressive thou is the catering provided by the organisation at lunch and business breaks, which is one of the best I saw so far, with even fresh orange juice at the business breaks with automatic machine squeezing the oranges, nespresso machine and fresh croissant!

“Excellent !”

I am quite used to travel via Zurich airport and very often stay in a hotel nearby for the next day departure.
It was the first time i stayed at the Trend but will definitely not be the last !
The location is convenient and very close to the railway station.
The personal have been very kind and smiling (which is unfortunately rare enough to be mentioned) and the restaurant is absolutely great ! You have a lot of choice, a huge buffet with on-demand grill and good service.
The rooms are well equipped and quiet.
I am not familiar with leaving comments about hotels, but this one does definitely worth its value !
