“Don't bother booking”

We booked 2 rooms with this hotel months ago but when we arrived we were told that they had accepted a booking from a group which meant that we were turned away to another hotel. If this is the hotel's policy then there's no point in booking.
Also, there was no management present and they left it to 2 young girls, one of whom had no real english,to take the flack!

“Great service and a nice stay”

I stayed at this hotel recently for about nine days. It was great! The rooms are clean and have everything you need. The service is excellent. For English speakers - everyone speaks excellent English. This hotel is perfect for a sports stay, whether its mountain or road biking, tennis, hiking etc..

Pluses to the hotel include two red clay tennis courts on site. There is also laundry available. Wireless is available in the lobby. The hotel breakfast is very good and the service is excellent. Half board is an option. I did not do this but I did eat dinner at the hotel a couple of times and found it to be quite good. There is an a la carte menu available.

The only downside is that the hotel is just a bit out of town. However, the bus (free) stops right in front of the hotel. You can also walk from downtown to the hotel - not that bad at all.

All in all a great place and I highly recommend it.

“Good time at the Sport”

We arrived early in the season and the Hostels where either closed or too far. We got a half priced room at The Sport hotel, but had to share the bathroom and shower (not the main rooms for this place). The hotel is about a 20 minute walk cfrom the center of town, but comes with a free bus pass for your entire stay (w/bus stop right in front). The room was very clean and comfortable, and staff was very friendly. The hotel also allows you free access to almost every amendity they have, which includes free internet, pool, whirlpool, mini-golf, ping-pong, etc. We were in the low season and did not have many other guests with us and hence they could not offer lunch or dinner, but they did include a free breakfest, which was better then most of your standard EU type breakfests.

“Everyone smiles and speaks English”

Easter skiing in Klosters. Nice quiet resort - favourite with royals but still unaffected.

Hotel Sport - modern building but charming family-run hotel with clean rooms, good food and everyone smiles and speaks English.

Hotel has a great indoor swimming pool with glass walls looking out to the snow covered gardens.

Bus stops outside the hotel. 3 minutes to the Madrissa and 6 minutes to the Glotschna cable car. All very efficient and also walkable if you've a mind (not in ski boots though).

Children very welcome (even if ours have grown up) and it's a pleasure to be in Europe where children are accepted in restaurants with grace. We are thinking of bringing our grandchildren here.

Special mention too for Hubert of Graubunden Express - silky-smooth transfers from Friedrichshafen Airport (thanks Ryanair) to Klosters in 1 hour 30 mins and affordable. Their website is worth a visit.

We will definitely return.

“ski holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2007

This hotel had a fabulous lounge with central open fire. Very inviting. The rooms were the largest for a ski holiday that I have stayed in. All very clean. Courteous staff and we had a good holiday. The guest card gave unlimited travel by bus and train between Klosters and Davos. Very useful. The Swiss transport service ran like clock work. The people we met were real friendly.
Hotel is a fifteen minute walk to the town and the buses stop at 8.30pm. This was a bit of a down point.
The food was good but a little unimaginative most nights. Thursday and Fridays it is better. Portions small especially for the guys. Breakfast o.k. not amazing.
Had a pleasant holiday as a non skier things to do in Davos and nearby Chur. The skiers in the group said it was some of the best ski-ing despite the relative lack of snow this year.
The frozen lake at St. Moritz 1.5 hours on the train was fabulous and worthwhile seeing
