Ths hotel/gasthaus was recommended by local tourist office. It was a long walk from train station (abut 15-20 mins). Entry through bar/tavern with rooms up several flights of stairs. Room at top, under eaves. Old furniture, dusty, hadnt been redecorated since about 1970s. Shower room nearby outside room. As a single woman I felt very uncomfortable here. Breakfast was in alcove off main bar. Limited amount of food and only 1 small coffee allowed. Gasthaus basic and adequate for ovenight stay if you need to stay in Burgdorf, but not recommended for tourists.
Maybe they have better, more expensive rooms that are more comfortable. I think I would ask to see a couple of rooms before making a choice here.
