Have been to Husum several times on business and stayed at other hotels but came back to this one.

The extra cost of the Altes Gymnasium is well worth it and I brought my wife with me this week as knew she would love the place and especially the wellness facilities, which are a godsend after day in meetings, etc.

Only down side is that internet access depends on which room you are in and the meals are a little overpriced though good quality but the restaurant staff look as though they wuld rather be anywhere else, though generally attentive.

The town itself is a relatively quiet locatiion but pretty, clean and plenty of restaurants. shops, etc.

Housekeeping and reception staff are very helpful and nothing seems to be too much trouble.

Well worth the visit

By choosing this hotel we expected an old-fashioned romantic hotel. What we didn't expect was that there is a new standard conference hotel build just next to it. So there is a constant mixture of the old and very loverly parts on the one hand and the conference facilities on the other hand. Breakfast is served in the "Wintergarten" which looks like the cantine of a modern hospital. So it is difficult to enjoy the old charming parts of the hotel.

The old-rooms are very nice. Negative was only the comfort of the bed which were way to outworn with regards to the price you pay for the hotel.

Went there for a romantic weekend and it was a fantastic place.
Helpful, very friendly and competent staff.
Exellent food, this week was lobster festival, very nice.
Perfect breakfast. Beautifull rooms, very quiet.
Nice wellness area with indoor pool (with waterfall, strong current and masage option), sauna, jacuzzi etc..
Husum is a very nice city in the northern part of Germany.
