Location cannot be beat. The problems: the showers are frustrating, as other people have mentioned. There is also no A/C. We stayed on a warm evening and the room was unbearable. We couldn't open the windows because it is on such a noisy street across from the train station. We got about 3 hours of sleep and happily left for greener pastures the next morning.

Too expensive for what it is, to be sure.

We spent a Friday night here in July, 2009. It is clean and the breakfast buffet is awesome but that is where it stops. The walls are paper thin, It has a hand held shower so you cannot stand under it without holding it, you have to pay for parking and there was NO parking garage. You park in an alley behind the hotel. There are cars going by until 2-3am (not sure where they are going since it is at the back of the island) and a bar below it. A drunk couple came in at around 1:30am and screamed, cried, were throwing things and the police finally came at 3:15am and arrested her. No apologies from the hotel whatsoever or compensation. Very disappointing for the amount we paid.

This is a small hotel, that is extremely clean and decorated nicley. The staff was very friendly. Its location is very good in that is is only 1/2 block from the harbour area and pedestrian zone. Lindau is a beatutiful little town and you will enjoy your stay there and strolling around the town. My only complaint is that we stayed on a Saturday night and there was a Wedding boat that came in late (this is unrelated to the hotel); but the town was pretty loud, pretty late. Since the hotel has a close location to the harbour area, it was a little loud. Overall, however, I think we made a very good choice in staying there, and would do so again.
