“beatiful property”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2011

quaint peaceful and away from everything- driving to find it you feel your lost on a farmhouse road. The rooms were exquisite with attractive furnishings. Breakfast was special and it had a B & B feel to it. Driving down to lindau for dinner was our only mistake the restaurant looked spectacular as did their menu but we wanted to see the oopah festival!

Room Tip: our room was in the newer pavillion with its own balcony seemed to be a plus

“Beautiful Oasis away from the busy Lake Constance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 September 2011

Booked in advance as a one night stopover from Northern France to Austria. Located on the edge of the Lindau suburbs away from the Lake surrounded by orchards. The garden and grounds were interesting and beautiful- lovely to relax with a drink after a 500 mile drive that day. We had a junior Suite (Euro 290) which was comfortable and good friendly staff making many trips to unload our luggage for 3 weeks touring. THe suite had a view over two aspects of the garden and a balcony.

The dining room in summer is a lovely central courtyard - very attractive. The menu looked difficult until, on enquiry, all listed items could be mixed and matrched as starters or main courses. We both had a lobster starter, my wife then had turbot and I forget mine although I am sure that it was good! Nice local wines and a good experience. Dinner for 2 Euro 360 included 170 Euros of wine and drinks.

“Amazing Stay - Package Exceeded Expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 May 2011

Stayed using the March package that included dinners and spa. Great package. Food at dinner was outstanding. Chef works the palate and the wine list is reasonable. Do try the local Bodensee wines - good taste and inexpensive! Room was a large 2 room suite. Service top quality from arrival to departure. If anything to be improved maybe breakfast eggs - and that is a nit.

“A luxurious hotel with an excellent restuarant”

We stayed in Hotel Villino in late October on a trip around southern Germany. The accommodation was delightful and very comfortable. Although as an English couple we cpould not speak German we were given a very warm welcome and this quality of service was maintained throughout our stay. However the high point is their restaurant where the food is supberb and the wine selection match the courses particularly well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend Hotel Villino.

“superb boutique hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2010

Villa Villino was a charming, cute country boutique hotel located in the middle of apple orchards. Our suite was magnificently beautiful, with cozy living room, nice comfortable bed and comforters, spacious bathroom with delightful candles, and balcony over-looking the apple orchard. It was quiet and peaceful there, a very enjoyable German country-side. Breakfast was of high quality and delicious. There was a lot of choices of freshly prepared dishes. Dinner was an excellently prepared and refined gourmet. Our only complain was that there wasn't enough of a selection of dry German red wines. Must do include hiking, biking around the Lake Constance (Bodensee), and spa at the hotel. The sauna and steam rooms were for mixed genders. Coming from Asia, this wasn't something that we were used to or felt comfortable with in the beginning, but knowing that this wasn't unusual in the culture there, we just "steeled our hearts" and walked in trying to appear nonchalant. hah! ok so that was an interesting experience! Overall, the hotel gave superb service and attention to quality.
