My stay here was a surprise...I knew I was going to Cuxhaven but had no idea where we would be staying. The reception area was warm and friendly with quirky german touches. We had a room overlooking the North Sea with large balcony and which was light and airy and well equipped.
The bathrooms and beds were a special delight...the former being large with a jacuzzi bath and separate full shower with twin basins and a male up area with seat and telephone. the toilet was separate and vast with a good size bidet and basin. Plentiful towels and robes completed the picture!
The bed was large and extremely comfortable and supporting. The german habit of giving two separate duvets was especially welcome and they were of down, as were the pillows.
A warm and friendly restaurant service completed the picture. The food was pleasant, but not of gastronomic standard, nevertheless, enjoyable and wholesome. The breakfasts were of excellent quality, with an abundance of choice of meats, fish and breads and fruit.
Friendly, helpful staff!
Cuxhaven is a delightful town and the Badhotel Sternhagen the jewel in it's crown.
