I have been staying in this hotel several times since 2005. General impression is good. It had belonged to the famous ‘Steigenberger’ group of hotels, however not any more, since an insurance company has recently bought it, keeping the name intact. Hence the manner of the personnel, it has changed towards somewhat neutral, without, so to say, refined respect to guests.. Apart from this, the hotel itself is up to the level; with abound breakfast and rather good spa area including swimming pool. Nice landscaped park surrounds the hotel. Rooms are good and clean. A flat panel Samsung TV set is in my room with two HD broadcast channels. Wireless Internet is available at the lobby area only (free of charge). The connection is stable and speed is about 133 kilobyte per second. In the room there is a cable connection (also free with the same speed). Vodafone provider has here very good reception (clocked 5.9 Mbit/sec on my android smartphone). I would have given 5 stars to the hotel, but the price of my room stopped me from doing it; Euro 190 (plus a small Kurort tax) for single occupancy (in a double room in a country side hotel) is way too high, also considering my frequent quest status.
