I've stayed at this hotel a few times on business.

There are some really nice things about this hotel
- Fantastic views of lake constance
- Big spacious rooms
- Nice pool and sauna

It has several drawbacks
- No gym
- Decor is very dated (although it is well maintained and very clean)
- Breakfast is average
- The hotel itself is quite boring - there are no other pubs / restaurants within walking distance

Staff are compentent, but not exactly warm and friendly...

All in all, I found this hotel quite sterile - generally lacking in any charm... Its quite comfortable for business travel, however I would not come back on holiday

Just returned from a few nights at St. Leonard Hotel.
The Location above Ueberlingen is very nice, quiet with a great view over the Lake and the Swiss Mountains. The Hotel is out of the city within a residential neighborhood. A bit cumbersome to reach but the views make up for it.
The rooms are very “German”…. Small, just the basics, the beds are very narrow (no US Standard Beds), the décor is old fashioned but the rooms / bathrooms are clean.
The layout of the Hotel (several buildings pieced together) is puzzling but it works once you are more familiar.
On some days the Restaurant staff can be overwhelmed if the Hotel is busy. The Breakfast Buffet / Service needs some work to make it run better and more efficient. The Dinner Service is on the slow side but the Food is excellent and worth the high price.
Most of the Hotel Workers are “AZUBI’s” – younger Trainees.
Overall a good experience if you consider you are in Southern Germany. Would I go back – probably not.

Wonderful views from bedroom, and terrace overlooking lake.
Staff very helpful, and whilst we were a party of 10 people, the service provided was excellent.
Hotel is situated a distance from the centre of the town,up a steep hill, and would be best reached by bus or taxi.

The view from the rooms on the lake side is wonderful! The hotel is on the hill, so you see the lake for far far away. It's really nice. Also from the restaurant, which has a terrace, you can have this wonderful lake view - pretty nice in the morning when you have breakfast! There is also a free swimming pool in the hotel, which is quite amazing (though i never had the time to go there because i was so busy on my business trip). The hotel is a bit far from the center, but we walked there once late at night, and it took us around 25 minutes from the very center. Anyway there is a bus stop right next to the hotel which takes you to the center and the taxi costs around 6 to 8 euros to the center. Overall we really enjoyed this hotel and Überlingen is really nice!!!
