I booked a room at the back based on Trip Advisor advice. It was clean, spacious and quiet. Lovely staff, excellent breakfast. Dinner at Watt's Brasserie, next door ( belongs to hotel), lovely food. Pleasant walk to town centre, peaceful yet only 5 minutes from E35.

We stayed here while I attended a conference (4 Nights) The hotel is easy walking distance to Stadthalle and downtown. Parking for our rental car was free. The rooms were very nice with a large bathroom and good hot showers. We found the beds very comfortable even though we are not accustomed to the style of beds (double platform base with single mattresses and individual duvets). We slept with the windows open because of the temperature and the street at the front is quite noisy but we adjusted quickly. The breakfast is very good and included with the room (large selection of hot and cold). There is no pool with this hotel although there is a municipal pool a block away (we never bothered to go)
The Internet is the real weakness here. There is high speed wired in each room however we had only wireless devices with us. Wifi was only available by paying by credit card separate from the hotel bill (approx €10) The wifi was also tied directly to the device and could not be shared. We had 2 iPads and 4 iPhones among the 4 of us and only one ipad had wifi access. Big problem for family with teenagers unless you have a laptop that can connect to the network.

We arrived at nine in the evening, got a nice room for à nice price. Had à nice meal next door. (nr 1 restaurant at tripadvisor)

I stayed in this Hotel when I visited Germany for a training program. It is conveniently located and has restaurants which serve wide range or gourmets. Rooms are clean and room service is prompt. The staffs were very pleasant and polite. The only disappointment is that they do not offer evening meals or snacks.

I would like to stay in the same hotel if I visit Ettlingen again
