The sixth time over 3 years that we have stayed at this hotel and the service has been consistent. This is primarily a place for business people and people passing through the area.
It's easy to find; parking has always been easy; and security has never been an issue here. They accept dogs and there is a park next door, as well as pleasant walks along the river into the old town.
We always receive a friendly, efficient welcome; trolley the baggage up in the lift; and eat in one of the venues, owned by the hotel proprietor, next door. There's Hartmaier's Restaurant - highly recommended for a top class meal - and the Watt's Brasserie for something more simple but still very appetising. In both places, weather permitting, you can eat inside and outside; menus are available in English; and your dog can sit quietly beside the table. In the restaurant, as the evening wears on and if it gets a bit chilly, they even offer their guests blankets/shawls for the shoulders.
The breakfast is fresh, plentiful and caters for diverse tastes - there's even a special selection for children. Complimentary bottled water is available in the room, but it you arrive thirsty there's also the bar and a hot drinks facility in the reception area too.
Overall the hotel is scrupulously clean and well maintained. One tiny niggle is that some of the square shower cubicles tend to leak where the doors meet. Thus, the bath mat tends to get completely sodden after two showers.
Free internet connection with a laptop is easy - just get a username & password from Reception. Wifi is an extra. The amount of work-surface is a bit limited, but there's plenty of clothes hanging space. The air conditioning is very efficient.
If you're travelling with a dog and need a vet for the Passport procedure, there's a wonderful vet, just minutes walk away, who can help.
