This is just the place for a quiet, romantic get-away in you're in the area and want a no-fuss, clean, smoothly run small hotel in a lovely location.
The rooms are just as shown on the website - on the large side with balcony and good bathroom. Very comfortable beds and lots of storage space. Lovely view over the hills from the balcony.
The restaurant is great. Good convivial atmosphere with efficient kindly service and delicious food. Nothing pretentious, just good German cooking and very well priced. Breakfast is good too, and equally calm and efficient.
The drive up from the main road is on a series of hair-pin bends through the woods, which adds to the anticipation. The welcome is kindly - we arrived very late after stopping over in Heidelburg but they weren't in the least fussed.
I'm in two minds at recommending this lovely small hotel, because now everyone else will find it - but why not? It deserves all the praise it can get.
