The Jagdhof does not cater primarily to small groups or individuals who want to finish some creative work, an article say, a short story or a project, but it is the perfect place for it. Internet is free but slow, there is no mobile phone coverage, it's in the middle of nowhere, and so there is no bother, no noise. One can fully concentrate on one's tasks. Yet the place, a large hunting-logdge style first class hotel, is self-sufficient enough that one can spend some very happy days there. There is a nice pool for lap swimming (short laps, but never mind), and hiking and bicycling (bikes are free) work very well as well.
Much has been said about the Jagdhof already, all quite correct. I would like to single out from my side again that I really like the almost all-inclusive aspect: Free minibar which is also restocked according to one's wishes (beer, lemonade, water); free tea time with cakes, sherry, and great ham and sausage selection; very nicely furnished, large rooms (mostly suite-like); really nice breakfast (including made-to-order eggs benedict or oysters, also inclusive). The restaurants are very nice as well, but one has to watch that one doesn't overeat here, and I did not use them much.
My stay at the Jagdhof was both very productive and very pleasant, and I will definitely be back.
