I booked hotel for two nights in September I had to cancel one night for business reasons , The hotel emailed me wanting not only my credit card number which is ok but my sceurity number. I rang the hotel and the man said could I fax it I said why not I give it to you over the phone , He would not take it In Australia you ane not supposed to give the sceurity no as it can be used. I stupidly faxed the number to the hotel after he threatened to cancel my reservation when I rang the second time . I then got an email later cancelling my reservation . He now has my card no , scurity no and I have no reservation . I have rung Amex and written to Minhotel who own the place Just be care ful dealing wiy\th this hotel . The man claims it is German practice to obtain credit card sceurity numbers , It is not as I have booked many German hotels without giving it . The best way is to use the german or austrian railway site and book hotels through them PS I had to put the Januat\ry date in as it would nt take the sept date I never got to stay there Theyare very good Laurie

A 7 minute taxi ride from the airport for 10 euros and you are there. Positioned a few hundred yards behind and to the west away from the noisy areas. Clean and tidy rooms with spacious bathrooms. Provided good choices at breakfast although having a wide range of exotic teas, did not have 'breakfast tea bags'. Very polite and helpful staff who were happy to provide extra pillows late at night and have a handy ice machine on some levels. Staff recommended places to eat, depending on your taste, and were good suggestions. . There are steps leading up to the reception lobby but when you receive your room key, the hotel lift is accessable from the ground level parking area. A 5 minutes walk and you are in the main town area and a few minutes extra you are on the lakeside or excellent rail/bus terminal. The Catamaran to Konstanz is also nearby.For the price we paid from Hotel.de web site and the service we were given we could not fault the Hotel Zepplin.
