Minotel Landgasthof Altes Rathaus
First of all it was advertised as below:
The hotel is located in the city of Friedrichshafen with a direct view of Lake Constance. Number of elevators -1 . Visa, Mastercard etc. accepted, TV in room, minibar, fridge.
Reality:
It's located at a busy road in Ailingen, some kilometers outside Friedrichhafen, without view of the lake. No lift, no minibar, no fridge. There was a very small TV in the room, but no remote control and the TV could no be watched without being moved to another location in the room.
The room I stayed in was , even though it was a double. You wouldn't like to stay there with 2 people.

The interior was very basic. The beds, pillows and quilts of the cheapquality - there were also holes in the bed sheets.

The shower was very hard to handle- you almost need 3 hands to adjust the temperature.

No proper curtains, only some blinds which did not close properly.

One last thing: The staff was not very friendly and I really can't recommend the restaurant (German friends who visited me are the same opinion)

The room and bathroom were large. The hotel was hard to find as the directions were awful. It is no where near the lake, if you squint you could see the lake and use your imagination. Would not place this hotel on my booking plans next year. It had nothing special to offer and we paid over $100 for the room -- yep, for a 3 star hotel!
