This is the most underestimated hotel I have ever stayed at. A hotel that claims to be a 2 star and yet could easily be rated the best 3 star in town is a rare find! I have just returned from a ski trip with 8 people (4 rooms) in our group. Everyone was really impressed with the hotel and could not fault anything, literally! I organised the holiday and was a little anxious when I read other comments on Tripadvisor but I am now doing something I haven't done before which is to write a review rather than just reading them. This hotel exceeded all our expectations, and we are not all easily pleased either. The bedrooms were great, all very spacious with an excellent bathroom & walk in shower. Four course meal in the evenings with lovely food every night. When one of our party didn't like the main course one evening they simply came up with a different dish - no fuss! The staff were friendly and always happy to be of service. I am really struggling to find anything negative to say about this hotel as I am still shocked as to why it is only a 2 star. The only thing I can think of is that there is no lift, but unless you are unable to climb a flight of stairs (or two) then really you will not be disappointed. Not sure what else I should be saying here to help other people decide on whether to book this hotel so here's my summary: great location; great bedrooms; comfortable double beds; lovely powerful shower; excellent food; lovely staff; convenient and secure storage for ski/board equipment; and outstanding value for money!
