Good location ,good price ,spaceus rooms,well equiped hotel apartments wisest choise if you are going yo geneva.

My 11 year old son and I are staying in the citadines for four weeks. It is a great place for families, as this seems to be sizable fraction of the clientele. The hotel is easy walking distance from downtown Ferney. On Saturdays, they have the most fabulous farmers market there. It is worth staying at the Citadines just to walk down there on a Saturday. The hotel has nice grounds (again good for active children) and a pool (though it is broken this summer). The rooms are nice. Mine has a kitchen. Unfortunately, there is no oven. The decor is okay, but the rug is a bit dingy and needs to be replaced. My room has an upstairs part for the main beds. Unfortunately, this room has no windows at all and the hotel has no air conditioning. While having no airconditioning is fine in the downstairs, which has a big window, the upstairs was too hot to sleep in even on a day that was 13 celsius and raining. Why would they make a windowless room with no air conditinonig? It boggles the mind. The staff is very, very nice.

If you must stay in Ferney-Voltaire, you may have to settle for this. But honestly I have to agree with most of the negative reviews. We stayed 4 nights and did not qualify for maid service. You have to stay a week for that. So we re-used our damp, thin towels for the whole stay. The internet was buggy, but eventually started to work okay. They have laundry machines, but a single wash and dry was a hefty 9 euros!! The bed is a fold out sofa bed, and the room is small, and very cheaply decorated. If we ever come back to Geneva we will splurge for a real hotel.

A few days before arrival, I got a short email mentioning they are overbooking. Really is a disgusting experience. Never again.
