We, me an my girlfriend, stayed here from the 2nd till the 9th of April 2005. As we noticed, it was pre-season, which in France means that it's a ghosttown...... There wasn't anything to do in the wide area. The pool was closed and no restaurant was open (some opened at 1900). But it isn't that far from Caen (aprox. 30 minutes), the nearest town.
But the apartment is ok. It's clean and looks ok.
We rented a TV, but there were only 4 channels and they were French.....
The bed in the bedroom was very hard, so we unfolded the bedcouch and used that (which was a lot softer).
There wasn't a vacuum cleaner in the apartment, you could lend it at the reception. But we noticed too late, so we used the broom..... At the end you have to clean the apartment yourself and the staff checks it. The check isn't quite thorough, same as our cleaning..... So first clean the dishes if you are in room 22.....:-)
If you want a simple stay and aren't that high maintenance, this is a great place to stay. It's nearby the invasion beaches and the war cemetaries, so that's great. The staff is quite friendly and even speaks a bit English (which is very remarkable in France).
