This was the second year that I had stayed for one night on return journey to UK from Spain. Alencon is a pleasant small town. The hotel is better than most Ibis hotels in that they have proper bathrooms rather than the small plastic bathrooms that are typical in most. Very central and easy to walk around the centre. The tourist office is very helpful and has lots of leaflets and information on Normandy. (The hotel lobby also has a large amount of tourist literature).
This year we were given the corner rooms at the end of the corridor, which were substantially bigger (and had an extra single bed) than the other rooms.
