We booked this for our first night of our 7 day tour of France on a motorbike. Being on the bike I wanted secure parking which I had been lead to believe it had - it did not but I was happy enough that the bike would be ok and it was. The top floor room we were given was a tiny double and stank terrible of cigarettes so I went to get it changed but the hotel was full so we were stuck with it. To give you an idea of how small the whole room was, the shower room door had to open outwards and only just cleared the foot of the double bed - knock before you come out or you will clout your partner who is using the mirror on the back of the door. If you are 170cm or less you will probably appreciate the open beam roof but at 185cm I did not - in the shower I had my head up in the rafters.

Breakfast was good but reception was a bit lacking - we had to search round for someone to pay when we came to check-out. We would not recommend this hotel and having booked a couple of night each in Ibis Troyes and Lille we were very concerned at how the rest of the holiday would turn out but those Ibis hotels are far better.

If you are 5 feet nothing and smoke 40 cigs per day you might like this hotel, otherwise give it a miss.

A liitle diffiulcut to find at night as it is a coverted 17th Centrury building, rooms a little tired and could do with a revamp/. Made up for it with reasonable drinks costs and it has a pool table, which occupied the kids. Helpful reception staff who also doubled up as barman during the evening.

Very good choice at breakfast at 7 euros, (kids half price) when compared to a four star hotel we stayed the next day in Metz which charge us a whopping 20 euros.. Good stopover on our way into central Europe. Its about 90 minutes drive from Calais.
