Denis and Rita are wonderful hosts. We had 3 very pleasant days in beautiful surroundings. The Dordogne has a lot to offer if you are fond of nature.

We booked this bed and breakfast in April 10 attracted by the picturesque setting and swimmimg pool which was ideal for our party of 2 adults and 3 teenage children. We arrived at 1.30 pm and were told without any welcome that we were too early and to come back at 4pm.. We said that we would find somewhere to have lunch but asked whether we could come back prior to 4 pm and use the pool. This was declined, the explanation being that the pool was chemically treated each day and could not be used before 4pm. A request to sit in the grounds was grudgingly acquiesced. On reflection we felt that the rigidity of the rules would not meet our needs and I phoned to cancel our booking being wiling to lose our deposit in the process. The proprietor's response was that people expected hotel service at b and b prices. The whole experience contrasted unfavourably with our very pleasant 3 day stay at Les Cordelieres in Sarlat.

A charming b&b in an area of outstanding natural beauty (don't miss to visit nearby Rocamadour). Lovely English hosts made us feel really welcome. Great breakfast served in the garden. Clean, simple family room. The children especially loved the cat, the dog and the pool!

We stayed just one night in early November as we had just visted Rocomador and were on our way home the next day. The place was not easy to find coming from the north of Payrac but was well signed from the south end of the village. The place was really nice and the bedrooms were charming, clean and comfortable. Dennis and Rita were excellent hosts, very friendly and welcoming. Rita cooked us an excellent meal that night and breakfast was a little feast (even museli!). Unfortunately, we departed early next day and didn't get the chance to take in the wonderful views and site and of course at that time of year the swimming pool (a great asset in summer no doubt) was covered over
