We chose Vittel Le Parc as we wanted one with a Mini Club to entertain our 5 year old and enough activities for us adults. This was our first Club Med experience and we were very happy and impressed. We stayed on the main building Le Grande Hotel for 4 nights and wished could have stayed there longer!
The property itself could do with some upgrade, the carpets looked a little tired. The room was a comfortable size and clean. Toilet a very good size.
This club Med is very close to town, about 5 mins walk to the High Street. The Park behind the Hotel is open to the Public and the famous Vittel Thermes Spa is just down a flight of stairs from the Hotel. Very good location indeed.
We signed our daughter up for a 3 day (morning and afternoon) horse riding lesson and she enjoyed it very much! The Equitation staff was very friendly and very helpful. Celine was very helpful, Helene our daughter's teacher was wonderful with the little one. We don't speak any French but Helene made sure my daughter understood and enjoyed the classes. By the second day she was confident and happy with the ponies.
The mini club GOs were responsible to send and pick up the kids from the Mini Club to the Horse riding classes. Very handy indeed which frees us up in scheduling our activities. The Show they put up on Friday night was amazing especially since they only practised for 2 days.
The golf class was great. Must register early though as they get filled up quite quickly.
The food was great. As we were there when it was rather busy, there were some queus for the food. The Salmon was so good that the line was so long.
The GOs are very friendly and made the effort to speak to us. It felt like we were the only ones on the resort that didn't speak any French but the GOs quickly switched to English.
Laundry machines are available. You'd have to purchase the tokens from the reception. EUR6 for the wash and EUR4 for the dryer.
We spent a little too much money with the Photography services, They took lots of pictures and my daughter really enjoyed posing in front of the camera. This was a nice touch as it meant we didnt have to worry lugging our camera around to have great photos taken.
Club Med Vittel Le Parc is a wonderful place for a family vacation. There is everything for all the family there. We saw 3 generations there (grandparents, parents and grandchildren.) The staff was friendly and there was plenty to do. Given the chance we would come back even though we don't speak French!
The rooms at Le Grande Hotel is close to where the main activities are.
