Upon arriving at the hotel, I was really excited as I’d paid extra for a room with a balcony and with the bright sun on the day, the balconies looked a perfect place for relaxing. After checking in with the friendly guy on reception, he showed us to our room and explained we had a terrace and not a balcony but not to worry as we could still enjoy the sun. When we got to our room, I went straight outside to soak in some rays and was promptly disappointed as there was zero sun! As we were in the corner, we had various shrubbery blocking all sun. I was massively disappointed as I booked the balcony for the obvious reason. I checked with reception and there were no other rooms available.

The room was pretty basic but adequate for our 1 nights stay. Unfortunately the stay didn’t get much better as whilst sleeping, my partner was having pain in his pack, about 3am he decided to get up and see what was going on, there was a twig in the bed that he was sleeping on! No idea how that got there. Following this, about 6am the majority of guests decided to get up and it seemed make lots of noise, thus waking us up! The room has little sound proofing and we therefore had to get up. We could even hear upstairs go to the toilet which wasn’t great!

Overall this is an adequate basic hotel for the price, but I suggest checking about any upgrades before you pay to ensure you get a balcony room, not a terrace room as there is a big difference.

I really liked this hotel: it was cosy, with very nice marine design and with gentle and welcoming people. Our room was clean, well-equipped and had a big terrace. The hotel is not far from sandy beach. We've stayed there only 1 night, but it definitely worths even a longer stay!
