The hotel is located next to a nice park. Parking is limited and you are required to pay at certain times. There is not a lift - and to get to the rooms you will need to climb narrow, steep stairs. The room is basic, but comfortable. You will hear other doors opening/closing. There is not any air conditioning, but they do provide a fan. Breakfast was an additional charge of 8 euro for basic continental. Our total bill was 85 euro for a one night and breakfast for two.

We were disappointed in the city of Beziers - it did not feel welcoming and it was limited on what you could do there. The cathedral was very nice.

We stayed two nights. The location of the hotel and the attention of the owner, Jean-Marie, were its greatest assets. However, the room was very cramped despite being the larger of the options available. Also, the room rate assured by e-mail was not honored and we had to pay an additional 5 Euros per night. The breakfast, though adequate, was a bit overpriced for what we received...better to go to a local cafe.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel des Poets for a total of 5 nights while touring Languedoc last month. On each of our three separate stays in the hotel we were give different rooms and hence we saw a good sample of what the hotel has to offer. All of the rooms were spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well appointed and amply provided with towels etc.. The owner was very obliging, allowing us to store unwanted luggage for a day or two and could not do enough to help us. The location, overlooking a delightful park, is within easy walking distance of the railway station and on the end of the Allees Paul Riquet, the central boulevard of Beziers.
I heartily recommend the Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable 2 star hotel in the city.

We stayed here for a night as we were driving through this part of France and wanted to stop off in Beziers.

We found it to be good value for money, in an attractive building and near a beautiful park in a quiet street but still in the centre of town.

After reading reviews here, we asked to stay in one of the rooms overlooking the park and it was perfect for our needs. We did not have any problems with hearing our neighbours. The rooms did not have air con but there was a fan in the room. The bathroom was small and nothing to write home about but was fine for one night. We did not have breakfast and went to a nearby cafe for coffee and a croissant instead.

Beziers was an interesting place to visit - try and go during the feria in August if you can. We were there the weekend afterwards and there was definitely an air of 'the morning after' still about the town. La Table Bretonne is a nice place to eat and it's worth visiting the canal to see the row of locks (ecluzes).
