This hotel was very clean and in a good location. It is most definitely not a four star hotel: no teas made, no dressing growns, triple room was only a double room with a camp bed. Only ever 2 drinking glasses and that was only on the first day. We complained about the steel type bed on the first day: we got a wooden frame put in. This was still not okay and then they put a thicker mattress in. Very disappointing. Lunch at €20 for a buffet was very expensive - wouldn't be that expensive in Ireland! Entire hotel needs a major refurbishment - just because they seem to mainly cater for an elderly clientele shouldn't obviate the necessity to provide a more modern establishment (see my photos).

The hotel was old fashioned, but despite of this it was tidy. It looks better in photos than in real life!
It was strange that majority of guests were elder people, so we felt like stars of the hotel.
PLUS:1.great and friendly staff;2.rich breakfast buffet;3.location( there is near bus stop and its easy to catch a bus to beach parties from it);4.pool;5. beach is near.6.live music evenings near the pool.
MINUS:1.unrenovated rooms;2.beach beds for fee.

If you want to order coctails at he bar, be carefull - bartender makes them very strong and its easy to get drunk!
If you are interested in nightlife and u come back to hotel early in the morning, the old man at reception wont be very happy! : )

The first clue of the problems that unveiled themselves with quick succession was the sour look on the receptionists face, unusual in Italy.

The lift that took us up was at least 30 years old and so small and rickety that we decided to take the stairs which were covered in threadbare carpet and the carpet runners had left their fixings so it was really dangerous.

The room which was booked as a refurbished executive room with a pool view was diabolical.The bathroom had not been refurbished at all for at least 20 years, the toilet leaked and the floor was wet from this. The shutters finally opened after a struggle to reveal not a pool but the roof of the lounge with a small glimmer of the pool to to one side. The beds were of the old metal frame and wires type that you used to get in youth hostels .The tiny TV was on a bracket in the corner of the room.

On being told we were not happy with the room the sour face showed us a superior refurbished room. Well the room was not bad but the bathroom was a narrow corridor, no bath, strange for the best room type, and the toilet was positioned that only those 1.5mt and shorter could sit on the toilet.

I suppose that i should have expected all of this from the rusty old sign outside and the 30 year old armchairs in the lounge and being told by the sour face that the hotel was like a harlequin.
We left in a hurry after being told that ,even though we did not like the hotel, it didnt mean it wasnt a good hotel.

Avoid at all costs!!!
