The Vienna Touring Hotel is located close t o he beach and the boulevard, however between 6pm and 5am the streets in this area are closed, due to the „evening and night silence“, so to get to the hotel by car, you need act against the law and drive through blocked streets.
Hotel itself, was last time renovated in late 60’s. The rooms are small and dark, the bathroom was clean, but still mould is to be seen on the walls. No hot water, only lukewarm with very low pressure. We made a quite interesting experience when late in the evening the lock in the door jammed and the receptionist had to break in to our room through the bathroom to open the door from inside.
Hotel offers “free parking” – which is indeed an area of 40m2 behind the hotel kitchen’ However it happens often (which means: each day) that it is full, a friendly receptionist offers you to park in an underground parking in the neighborhood and pay 1,80EUR per hour (hotel doesn’t return this costs) .
Vienna Touring Hotel has also access to the beach, which means you have to pay at least 7Eur for each sunchair per day (prices are different in order to the distance from the sea). What you get free is access to the changing room. By the way there is no chance to get this information at the reception desk – you discover it first at the beach. For those who still want to get some tan, hotel offers a swimming pool. Coincidently this is cover with the shadow until noon; check out is latest until 12pm.
