We spent 2 nights here and loved every minute. The staff was friendly and exceptional. The parking below wasn' t available at night due to a Busker's fair and the manager, Ivan, actually drove up in our car and parked close to the hotel. Our room was beautifully furnished. The continental breakfast was fine.It was an easy walk to the main streets of Ragusa Ilba and excellent restaurants. We took a memorable side trip to Noto, only about an hour away by car.

We spent 3 nights at the San Giorgio Palace in November 2011.
Having worked out the roads around Ragusa Ibla using Google maps and Google earth we drove straight to the parking close to the bottom entrance to the hotel - and what an entrance! In through the gates, up through the tunnel to find a lift waiting to take us up to reception.
The staff were welcoming and our room was large, modern and well equipped. At the end of the three days we had just about got the hang of all the light switches!
One night we ate in the restaurant which was very quiet but the staff were attentive and the food was lovely.
The hotel was obviously trying to satisfy the tastes of many different nationailites when providing breakfast as there was a large selection of cold choices but providing cereals but no milk was a bit strange.
The hotel is well positioned for exploring Ragusa Ibla which is a fascinating town and the staff were able to recommend (and book a table) at other great places to eat.

We stayed here in Sept, 2011. The staff was very nice and eager to please. The location was great for easy access to wandering Ragusa Ibla. We, too, had a hard time finding the hotel, as you cannot drive up to the front door. We called the hotel and found out we were very close and the person working the desk went out on a deck to wave to us so we could see him.
Breakfast (included in our rate) was very good. EAT THE CROISSANTS!! They were warm and amazing!
We booked a 2 room suite and were glad we did. The decor is not my preference (modern), but the space was great and the bathrooms really nice. We had 2 bathrooms which helped get us out the door quicker than having to share one.
Overall, a great place!

We stayed in San Giorgio Palace Hotel in 2011 October 1st to 3rd.
Very courteous and helpful staff. Not many people knew English. But they were extremely helpful in getting their colleagues who knew English and help us.

Rooms are good. Location is perfect. The room we stayed had a great valley view.
