The location is simply amazing! Just that would justify the trip.
As said above, I hope the hotel service and facilities will improve in the future so that to consider another saty there.
Chiaia di Luna gets the name from a marvellous bay the Hotel dominates. Unfortunately, the bay has been almost entirely closed for the last 3 years due to landslide and related works. We did not know it in advance, but the a Grand Hotel worth this name should communicate this to the customers at the moment of booking.
The bedrooms could be more complete and furnished to the standard of a grandhotel. For instance, the TV set is poor and no satellite connection, the frigo-bar had only water..........
The internet connection provided by the Hotel is not for free, not wireless in all rooms, and most bad is incredibly slow with continuous disconnections. In sum, if you go there not only to get off of the entire world but to check your business mails ...... don't go unless you have your own web connection!
Breakfast is a delusion. For a full week was exactly the same. Even worse, it is from 7 to 10 but if you arrive at 9 and the scrambled egg is over........they do not make some more for you. Then, only salami was available with no vegetables etc.
Too bad, too boring........and in Italy you shoudl have much more!
Service is like for a pension, not at Grand Hotel standard. Most disappointing, while we were in the hall the receptionists were complaining about other customers at loud voice..........unacceptable.
However, the island is beautiful, so go there and take the risk of calling the Hotel if/once these suggestions will be endorsed.
If it remains as it is, shoudl be downgraded to normal 3 stars hotel.
Cheers and enjoy your holidays wherever they'll be!
