“Friendly Family owned hotel in historical surrounding with fantastic view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2009

In the small historical village of Ranzi on the hills overlooking the sea and the city of Pietra Ligure lay's this quite, friendly family owned hotel. If you like quietness, relaxing and stress free environment, this is the place to stay. Fantastic surrounding and at the pool area you will be able to pick fruit from the trees. Nice breakfast buffé and at lunch you can have something to eat but it’s not a big selection of dishes but tasty and fresh. If you want to go down town Pietra Ligure you’ll need the car and it’s a 10 minutes drive. Don´t miss the local restaurant in Ranzi next to the church serving fantastic tasty and home made food at reasonable prices. Pizzas are stone baked in open fire and taste fantastic. If you need help or you have questions, the owners do everything to help you out. They have a lot of tips what to do and see in the area of Liguria.

“Very nice place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 September 2007

We were very impressed with the friendliness of our hosts. They gave us maps, advices, made restaurant reservations.
The breakfast was excellent filled with cheese and fresh fruits.
The view is magnificent. The beach is few miles away, which is even good since beaches are overcrowded, no parking etc.
You can stay all day long in the pool, enjoy nice drinks, ice cream etc. Very recommended!!!

“Wonderful view”

We spent some days in Ca´Ligure and really enjoyed it. Especially we loved the garden, the pool-area and our private spacious terrace with its wonderful view over the mountains, the town Loano and the sea.
For dinner we had two nice trattorias in the village within walking distance. Besides the owner recommendes interesting restaurants in the surroundings. Sometimes they were a little bit difficult to find, but they had great food, reasonable prices and a very special atmosphere.
Last but not least Ca´Ligure is a convenient starting point for daily trips to Cinque Terre, Portofino, Nice, Monaco...

We definitely will come back.

“Trip of a lifetime”

We stayed in Ca Ligure for a week after a very stressful summer season working in Spain. We found the website on the internet and the photos did the hotel justice. It was easy to find after a long drive from Northern Spain. We were made to feel very welcome by the family running the hotel. Their daughter Stefanie speaks several languages and was very helpful with suggestions as to where to eat and what interesting places we could visit. It was peaceful and quiet.

We wanted to stay in the area because my parents visited the Italian Riviera in the 50s and named me after a little village nearby called Noli. Stefanie´s father very kindly found out the local history about a famous character from Noli for me.

The hotel is modern, clean and very efficiently run. Our rooms were spacious, immaculate, simply furnished, with great balconies and views over the sea. The bathrooms were clean and modern and the beds very comfortable.

The cost of the holiday was so reasonable, we decided to stay in a hotel instead of renting an apartment for 3 people. Breakfast was a plentiful buffet and delicious. The only thing I could criticise is the tea! Only the English can make good tea!

We loved our holiday and very much hope to go back there.
Thank you to Stefanie and her family.

  • Liked — attractive, clean and everything worked
  • Disliked — you needed a car to get to the beach or longish walk down a very steep hill.

The Hotel was recommended by Friends. At first: the best Tip that we ever heard. The Breakfast is simply the best that we found in Italy. Including the Price is a visit to the Beach. The Swimming Pool is very clean and the Garden is in very good condition. A snag, Cup of cappucino or what ever you want is allways available by friendly Personal. We visit this nice Place next Year, for shure
