“Very nice smart hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2008

Stayed here 18th/19th sept 2008.
This is a very pleasant hotel situated about 3 miles outside Mogliano Venito on a country road. The breakfast was very good in the small intimate dining room, all anyone could want, excellent coffees to order and range of teas, bacon, cold meats eggs and breads.
The standard rooms are in ajacent annexe with its own parking.Rooms are not big but have everything you need, well stocked bathrooms although small showers.
We had a bad meal on the first night in the resteraunt, so I would,nt eat there, its very quiete.Half a dozen nice bar resteraunts in Mogliano, near the train station. Staff at hotel could not be more pleasant, the service was very good and they will help you with the info you need to get to Venice.
The hotel is in its own nice grounds and has plenty of parking.
Not sure if I would reccomend it if you did,nt have a car, although its easy for venice if you get down the road to train station, 10euros in a taxi.

Stayed August 2008

“great hotel”

we stayed at the villa braida for three nights its a very peaceful place , but a bit out of town unless your driving , taxi from the station was 15 euro its too far to walk and the roads are pedestrian unfreindly and no buses pass near .
dont expect a taxi at either the station or town centre taxi ranks . ask at the station cafe they will call one for you or call hotel .
town is ok but not much to do , cant get a restaurant before 7pm, food at hotel is good but service can be slow if there is a party in . trains are great its only 7.30 euro return [ 2 travelling ] to venice , we think that staying in treviso would be easier next time .[ also a very nice place ] if we dont have a car .
overall a great place for peace and quiet despite being only 1km from autoroute we never heard a thing !

“Not so Great...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 September 2008

I recently stayed at Hotel Villa Braida for a work conference. The conference room was fine, but the air conditioning was not working and everyone was very uncomfortable. Our lunches and dinners at the hotel were very good. The bar ran out of drinks for our large group and they were not that helpful. Half the time there was no one even there to take your order and you would have to stand around and find someone. The only things to do at the hotel are eat, have a conference, or sit outside on the patio. There is no pool. The scenery from the patio is nice as the hotel is situated on the countryside. If you are looking for a very quiet and relaxing time this may be the place for you. Also, there was no wireless conection for anyone to do their work and they only had one complimentary computer in the lobby. As for the rooms, they are a typical European hotel room. Meaning that they are old and not updated at all. The shower is tiny and the floors are a little dirty . On a positivie note most of the staff was very friendly and the hotel is only about a 15 minute taxi ride into Venice.
