Perfectly adequate, but our visit was soured when we returned from an overnight trip to Stromboli, having left our hire car (and keys) with the hotel.
The car had been parked less than 48 hours in the garage, at an agreed rate of 12 Euro/night. The guy that took us to get our car tried to charge us extra, for 2 1/2 days, but backed down quickly when challenged by my Italian partner who had already spoken to the receptionist to clarify the charges. Both of us thought he was trying to pull a fast one and overcharge us.
This petty dishonesty was a shame as the hotel was ok and the location ideal for the ferry. The rooms are basic but clean, though the "bio" credentials we thought were a little tenous... an in-room ioniser does not a bio hotel make! Indeed, I would have welcomed some artificial preservative on the fruit in our room which was decidely past its sell by date.
English is not a strongpoint at this hotel (and indeed at many in Italy) so take a phrasebook.
On a more general point , much as we tried to like Milazzo for the evening we were there, there is little to redeem the place so i would suggest a late evening arrival or catching an afternoon ferry so you don't have to stay there!
