After two planes, two trains, a crazy taxi ride, a ferry ride and dragging our luggage approximately 750 feet, arriving at this beautiful hotel was a wonderful way to end our day. The reception staff was very helpful and our room overlooking the lake was very nice. The bartender made a great dirty martini, the restaurant staff worked very hard and the food was delicious. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends.

We stayed for 4 nights in one of their better rooms.(Balcony lake view). The room was positioned between the trees and the view of the lake was superb. The room was in need of redecoration but was functional with desk wardrobe (plenty of space) and mirrors and 2 doors onto the balcony. The bed was two singles joined together and was satisfactory. The bathroom had a shower (bit small) toilet and bidet.
The air-conditioning worked but seemed to loose effectiveness during the night, but by then the outside temp was lower and we opened the doors.
The staff were pleasant and helpful (loaned an umbrella).
3 minute walk to the center and 10 minutes to the ferry makes the hotel well positioned.
We ate in the dining room one night and the food was excellent. Breakfast is continental with plenty of variety. The dining/breakfast area is a modern add-on in the garden and has a wonderful ambiance. Wifi is complimentary in the foyer which has plenty of grand lounges.

We stayed here during our honeymoon for 3 nights and our room had a view of the lake with a tiny balcony. This is an older hotel and in great need of renovation. The bed was a queen (two twins pushed together) and was very uncomfortable. The AC was "on" but it nver cooled the room. We asked for it to be adjusted 3 times but they never got it working adequately. The walk from the hotel to the square is 3-4 minutes and maybe 5 minutes to the ferry. The bathroom was OK for size and had a tub with a shower, but everything was older, cracking and in need of repair. Not what one would expect from a 4 star hotel. The front desk staff were not very helpful (AC situation), and when asked about tours or restaurant suggestions they weren't helpful and just pushed the hotel's restaurant. The room had a TV that did get a few english channels (BBC and CNN), a safe, and a dresser.

Just came back from staying here and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was.
The staff were ever so friendly and rush around doing what they can for you.
The hotel is massive with amazing views.
I had shared a room with two other friends where we had been given an extra bed put up for us, the room was lovely, the only downside was there wasn't enough mirrors for us, but that is all.
We really enjoyed using the pool as the weather was so hot, there seemed to be enough sunbeds.
It was nice and close to the square and restaurants.
I would return again
