We stayed two nights here and found it very easy and relaxing, if I you are over 40 you will LOVE this place. It almost felt like an island cruise for old europeans but in an island town.
The garden which you wander down through to get to the beach is massive and amazing and they produce some of the organic food you eat for the compulsory Dinner/Breakfast. These meals are included in the price of a room which is a little odd but we just went with it. It is kind of refreshing not having to research where to get dinner but there is little in the way of good restaurants in St. Andrea so maybe it's for the best. You get to choose from a few choices for Primi, Secondi and Dolce and the food was not amazing or mindblowing but it was good value. there was a massive selection for the breakfast.
All the staff spoke german, italian, french and not very much english which was a first for us but it made sense when you peeked at the other guests at dinner. They were very lovely especially the Maître d' who was really good at his job.
There are two pools and a spa which was great. The Spa has an amazing view and 'colour therapy' (ie lights that change colour) plus the staff brought us delicious fresh tea made with herbs from the garden. We did not realise the spa was extra so that was a surpirse when we paid but it is worth the 8 euro a pop.
Due to it being September and due to the overflowing grapevines outside the dining room the whole place was overrun with MASSES of wasps of all variety which were a menace at breakfast time. There was also a slightly diseased looking cat which terrorised my girlfriend at breakfast and this coming from a cat lover.
The whole place had a slight 'grandma' feel about it with a well maintained early 80's faded charm, big garden, the other guests (all over 50 it seemed!), flower themes for the room names and artwork on the wall. The room had a good ocean view, air con and a good bathroom and bed. The wifi was not free (in this day and age?!) and you had to sit in the bar to receive it and the signal kept dropping.
I wouldn't really recommend this place to my friends but I would totally recommend my mum and grandparents stay here.
