Run-down hotel in a great location. If all you want to do is soak up the sun the International can't be beat. If you want to sleep, keep this in mind. 1) The air conditioning doesn't work. If you ask the day desk clerk, she'll tell you it doesn't work until 5 p.m. If you ask the night clerk, she'll offer to have it fixed tomorrow and show you another room where the air conditioning doesn't work. Finally she'll admit the air conditioning never works. 2) There are no room darkening curtains. You had to leave the door to your little veranda (which does have a nice view of the Agean Sea) open so you wouldn't suffocate, but if you want to keep out the sunrise you would have to close the hurricane shutter and keep out the fresh air. 3) Correllary to 2 -- mosquitoes. 4) Lousy breakfast buffet unless you like Cocoa Puff wannabes, stale rolls, and frozen yoghurt (not the dessert kind -- the mixed fruit kind in a plastic cup, frozen solid). 5) The single-gear bike is free and there are no hills to speak of, but the brakes don't work and it makes a noise that's a cross between a shopping cart with a bad wheel and a car whose axle is about to break. 6) The water is hot but there's no water pressure.
