We were there when it was snowing and freezing (very rare for the Veneto), but the indoor/outdoor pool was an island of tranquility and very well heated. The farther you swam out, the colder the water got - without ever getting below 32° or so. A real treat - as was the food, very good Italian standard. The service was very friendly and accommodating, but never nosy or intrusive.
The only downside (of sorts) were the rooms, I would give them three stars, not four. The heating was working perfectly (not a given in Italy!), everything was clean - but the room was a bit small and especially the bed was too small. The decoration and TV set were somewhat ancient. I would recommend a junior suite with two beds, which is what we upgraded to. That room was comfortable.
There's a 9 hole golf course right on the premises and many activities for any kind of weather in the region. The hotel is in a very quiet spot, far away from the bustle of Montegrotto or Abano Terme. Due to the fantastic surroundings, the great food and service and the world-class pool we'll give it 5 stars and will not hesitate to come back.
