“Experience the real Ferrara”

If you want to stay in a place which will really take your breath away the this wonderful bed and breakfast will fit the bill. The architecture is magnificent. The consideration given to the appointment of the decor the first class. I have stayed in 4 star hotels which have not been as good as this. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious, this really needs to be experienced to gain the full benefit of a literary review.
There is a swimming pool which is a rarity in many hotels and although i didn't get the opportunity to use it, i will on my next visit.
In Italy, this type of place is known as a Casale/Rustico. What this means is that you experience a quality stay in traditional italian agricultural accomodation. The experience here is in the quality of the hospitality. If you want a plastic breakfast then don't stay here go to one of the chains. Here you will get home cooked, fresh bread and cakes. If you want croissants go to a French supermarket.
A high quality and very different bed and breakfast which is highly recommended.

“Wonderful week's stay in quiet, contemporary country inn...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 August 2010

Well-situated just outside fascinating Ferrara and easy motorway and road access to the many day-trip destinations (Venice, Verona, Bologna, Mantova, Modena, Parma, etc.). Traditional look and design in the "new" building with all modern features. New-father Paolo a perfect host, from delicious breakfast (including his mother's pastries) to plenty of helpful travel tips, using his excellent English. We each had a room but even so it was a great value!

“Great family-run B&B. Perfect for exploring the area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2010

The rooms are spacious, clean and fairly well equipped (with well functioning air-conditioning). We paid the same as another family with a room twice the size of ours. Pool looked a bit bigger on the photos, but the pool area is still very nice. The family running the place was friendly and helpful. You have to go into Ferrara for lunch and dinner. However, Ferrara was a pleasant surprise.

“Quiet and Comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2010

We spent four nights at Corte dei Dogi and enjoyed every minute of our time there. There are two properties - a refurbished farmhouse with accommodation and breakfast room and a newly built property with rooms, guest lounge and swimming pool. We stayed in the latter in a very comfortable, ground floor, twin room with modern bathroom. There is car parking on site.
Our host, Paolo, could not have been more helpful. Within minutes of our arrival he had provided us with maps and recommendations for restaurants and the delights of Ferrara. We encountered a couple of rainy, autumn days but relaxed with the contents of a mini library in the lounge.
The Castle and the weekly Market are worth visiting. The Tourist Information Centre is adjacent to the Castle entrance.
The property is about a 10 minute drive into the town and is too far - and dangerous - to walk. A day trip to Ravenna [ 60k away ] was worthwhile and the return along the coast through the Po Delta and Commachio.
